“A Walk in the Woods Nature Package”
Enjoy a guided nature walk with local expert guides who will lead you on a journey to some of the most magical places in the Smokies. Choose from History Walks, Spring Wildflower Walks, and Majestic View Walks. Walks are approximately two to three hours in length and are on Easy to Moderate Trails. This package includes two nights lodging at the Timber Rose; nature walk (and snacks) for two. A Stroll Back in Time:
 This walk begins in one of the first areas settled in what is now the National Park. The trail is on an old roadbed, alongside a pristine and gorgeous mountain stream. We’ll explore a small family cemetery, a 19th century barn, spring-house and restored cabin and more, while walking through the beauty of the deep forest. This walk is a great introduction to the Smokies. 2.5 Hour walk – Easy trail with a couple of moderate spots. Snacks included.

Spring Wildflower Walk:

 This walk is offered March 15 – May 15th. This walk offers one of the finest wildflower exhibits in the Smokies. It combines the “A Stroll Back in Time Walk” with an extended journey deeper into the woods. We’ll explore the human history highlighted above and then continue down a narrow woodland path that leads to a magical world of lush mosses, old trees and a magnificent display of spring wildflowers. Be sure to bring your camera! 3 Hour walk – Easy trail with a couple of moderate spots. Snacks included.
 

Top of Old Smoky:

 This walk is offered April 1 – November 30th. Come take a walk to the highest point in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Clingman’s Dome. Most who walk up to the Dome take a tough paved trail to the top, but we’ll take you to the Dome up a hidden trail. On a clear day, we can see Fontana Lake and beyond. The trail spills out to the crowded but scenic tower where you get 360 degree views of the world from the tallest point in the Park, a place considered sacred to the Cherokee Indians. 2.5 Hour walk – Moderate Trail. Snacks included.

“Llama Trek in the Smokies”

Looking for that extra special touch to make your trip to the Smokies unique? Enjoy a two-hour, half-day or full-day llama trek without the burdens of those heavy daypacks. Each hiker has his OWN fluffy llama to lead (not ride!) which will carry all food, gear and supplies for you! Have fun learning about and experiencing this unique animal while hiking easy to moderate trails in the pristine forests of the Smoky Mountains and the beautiful Pisgah National Forest. Cross over ice cold, trickling streams, see cascading waterfalls, and hover over mountain rock cliffs with fantastic views. Wild Safari Adventure: Walk with your own llama throughout a 120-acre wildlife preserve containing hundreds of exotic animals! Along the 2-mile, easy trail, you will encounter a herd of Canadian Elk, Exotic Japanese Deer, Long-horn Goats and Rams, African Gazelles, Australian Emus & Ostriches, African Zebras, African Black-Buck Antelopes, Domestic Buffalo and Long-Horn Watusi Cattle, South American Llamas and more! Petting zoo, gift shop and restrooms available. Full gourmet restaurant-style lunch and beverages included.

Six-hour Extravaganza Trek: This full-day trek covers about 5-6 miles round trip along a gorgeous ridge-top trail. Depending upon which trail we hike, the elevations range from 3000-6400ft. You will experience spectacular views atop huge, rock overlooks, trickling creeks, and grassy open fields with panoramic views. Full gourmet restaurant-style lunch with dessert and beverages included. Different trails are available to choose from, but please note that the Buckeye Ridge Trail will incur an additional travel fee of $40.

Two-hour Adventure Trek: This short 2-hour hike covers about 2 miles. Starting from the Llama Farm, a flat gravel road leads to a cool creek where the llamas can drink or take a dip. Then stroll up a steep, wooded path with views for photos. Beverages included. Guests are welcome to bring their own snacks.

“Smoky Mountain Romance Spa Package”

What better way to relax and unwind than to enjoy a romantic couples spa package at a local luxurious day spa.
